Description

CONNELLY CARBON V waterski

We took one of the most advanced skis on the market and doubled down. The Carbon V is made in the U.S.A. and for 2022 we added Versatail to customize your ride. This ski utilizes our latest slalom geometries, core technology, fiber blends, along with drag reducing designs like V-Tech to create a ski that out performs all other mid-range skis. Skelecore, our advanced core shaping process, reduces the overall mass of the core allowing the fibers of the ski to flex quicker and more naturally. The 50/50 carbon/glass blend is light and responsive for peak course performance and easily absorbs chatter when shooting across the wake.

With the 2022 Connelly Carbon V and VersaTail, you choose how your ski rides and reacts.

Versatail

While considerable masterminding is put into the overall construction of a high-end slalom ski — the sidecut, rocker, bevels, etc — many people don’t realize how large a part the last few inches of the tail play. A change in tail geometry can mean the difference in a ski performing in perfect rhythm with your personal style. Our patent pending VersaTail technology offers the ability to fine tune the flow of water off the tail of the ski, taking a step beyond the standard fin and binding position adjustments. Skiers can choose from one of three tails, which are all included with the 2021 Connelly DV8 Versatail Waterski.

V-Tech

V-Tech is the key to increased maneuverability and decreased drag. Six “V” shaped steps regulate the flow of water on the base of the ski by breaking up the wetted surface area from the front binding to the fin. In short, less water sticks to your ski as you accelerate forward.

50/50 Carbon/Glass

Blending an equal mix of carbon and fiberglass creates a fast, responsive ski with consistent, smooth flex that won’t chatter on imperfect water.

Skelecore

Skelecore is our new advanced polyurethane core shaping technique that reduces the overall mass of the core, allowing the fibers of the board to react quicker and more naturally.

Wide Tunnel

This tunnel design leaves an extremely narrow flat spot between the edge of the tunnel and the bevel of the ski. The effect is a ski that actively seeks to be on edge, most useful for experienced skiers and buoy chasers that have above average ski control.
